Weather Porto

See the weather for Porto

Located in northern Portgual along the Atlantic Coast, Porto weather is typically dry and arid, with a rainy season during the winter. Porto’s weather is not extreme - it enjoys mild temperatures all year-round, with the highest summer temperatures not usually soaring past 25°C, or 35°C during a real heat wave, while during Porto’s rainy winters, temperatures rarely drop below freezing and generally hover around 5-10°C. Thus, Porto enjoys a lovely climate for tourism and, with its many beaches, coastal areas and golf courses, is a wonderful city to visit at almost any time of year. The best time of year to visit Porto, though, is during the summer when the sun is out most days and the dry, warm air is quite pleasant for walking and enjoying the outdoors, or taking a stroll along the riverside. When packing for a trip to Porto, it is a good idea to incorporate a jacket or layered clothing as temperatures vary widely from day to night and, even during the summer, you will find Porto’s evening weather to be quite cool.
